Becoming a regular event it seems. Now are the mentally ill attracted to Thailand or does coming here cause the mental illness? That is the question -

News Forum - Sex, lies and seaside sweeps: Pattaya cops accused of cover up
"Pattaya cops are under fire after a recent crackdown on foreign sex workers along Pattaya Beach was branded a “PR stunt” by furious locals and expats, who say Thai officials are ignoring the city’s deeper problems while putting on a show for the cameras." Just like all their 'crackdowns' nothing but a photo op to distract people from the fact that generally they are NOT tackling many issues in Pattaya at all. How about 'cracking down' on all the 'entertainment' venues that pay 'tea money' every week for police to turn a blind eye on their practices, opening hours, lack of licence etc? -

Yes there's certainly scepticism from Locals and Expats alike that this undercover operation missed the Afghani/Pakistani dealers operating on the same patch as the Foreign Ladies of the night. -

News Forum - Ko Samui waterfall horror lands British soldier in deep debt
I seen this story and my BS Radar flagged up straight away. Serving British Military Personnel are nearly all signed up to a scheme called PAX it's a discounted Personal accident insurance designed for HM Forces which covers HM Forces Personnel for accidents on and off duty including in War Zones you can purchase between 1 to 15 units of cover and when I retired over 12 years ago 1 unit of cover was over £3 obviously the more units of cover the most payout you'd receive. I get the feeling this chap might be a Reservist or his UAO (Unit Admin Office) are derelict in their duty. Either way I'm sure if he's a serving Soldier The MOD will have a contingency plan to Aeromed him back to the UK and I strongly recommend he reaches out to The RBL (Royal British Legion). -
