The Los Angeles Police Department is apparently more spiritual than anyone imagined, as more than 2,600 employees reportedly plan to pursue religious exemptions to the city’s Covid-19 vaccine mandate.

In addition to those seeking religious waivers, more than 350 plan to seek medical exemptions to the jab order, the Los Angeles Times reported on Monday, citing a city official with access to the data. City employees were due to make preliminary requests for exemptions by the end of Monday.

The mandate requires that city employees be fully vaccinated by October 5 unless they are granted an exemption. Those who get the waivers will face weekly testing to show that they aren’t infected with Covid-19.

Total exemption requests by police could amount to about 24% of the department’s more than 12,000 employees – far more than any other city agency. The rate of preliminary exemption requests was about 2-3% in other city departments, according to a local NBC News affiliate.

Its not so funny when the people who are being used to enforce lockdowns do want to take the vaccines themselves.

No one should be forced to take a gene therapy treatments they don't feel is safe

When doctors, nursers and cops in massive numbers, not just lone cases out there,  are refusing the jabs and risk losing their jobs, there is something wrong with the jabs. Those jobs are very well paid in the US, nurses could earn even $200K. They see who dies of Covid and who is dying or seriously hurt of vaccine injuries.

I'd bet they are seeing too many young people having blood clots and heart attacks, sudden deaths, weird traffic accidents because people blacking out and so on. While mostly elderly and/or morbidly obese diabetics die of Covid.

I don't see these people watching a couple of Youtube videos and deciding to risk firing just like that. No, they are serious front line people, not some armchair wannabe doctors in their mom's basement.

Btw, 40 percent of GM workers refused the jabs and the company decided to drop the mandate.

There is no public discussion of the science. There is only public shaming of "anti-vaxxers". People are not stupid. They know they're being lied to.

What to do when you are working in a private company that intends to impose mandatory COVID-vaccination?  Instead of complying with their demands or resigning from your job, you can simply tell them that you would SUE them when they fire you for not complying.  Obviously in a virtually lawless country like Thailand this stands no chance, but in Western countries your employer will think twice before enforcing it on those 'hesitant' to take it, as they could be facing jail-time over this (and surely if you experience adverse effects from a mandated jab you objected to).

When your employer is the government or one of its institutions, that approach will probably not be successful, but then you could indeed like the LAPD are doing apply for an exemption on religious or medical grounds.

LAPD is staffed by mostly Latinos and very fine Latinas. They’re probably Catholic too so that’ll play a role

Could not possibly be that they see vaccine injuries skyrocketing because that is just too complex for them to understand. No, it must be their religion! 🤣 Condescending bullshit.

Strange to see a Cheeto Jesus supporter actually saying something that looks sensible.

Texas megachurch preacher and Trump devotee says there is no 'credible religious argument' against COVID-19 vaccines

As Republican lawmakers rage against President Joe Biden's sweeping vaccine mandates, the Associated Press reported that religious exemptions are becoming more widely used as a "loophole" to avoid getting a COVID-19 vaccine.

But a Trump-loving preacher at a Texas megachurch has decreed that there is "no credible religious argument" for turning down a shot, the Associated Press said.

The Rev. Robert Jeffress, a pastor at the 12,000-member First Baptist Church in Dallas, told the news agency that he and his staff are neither "offering" exemption letters nor "encouraging" members of their congregation to seek out religious exemptions from coronavirus vaccine mandates.

"Christians who are troubled by the use of a fetal cell line for the testing of the vaccines would also have to abstain from the use of Tylenol, Pepto Bismol, Ibuprofen, and other products that used the same cell line if they are sincere in their objection," said Jeffress in an email.

Jeffress, who once suggested that he would vote for former President Donald Trump over somebody who embodies the teachings of Jesus, is one of many religious leaders who have recently opposed the use of religious exemption letters.

The AP reported that leaders of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America said Thursday that, aside from medical reasons, "there is no exemption in the Orthodox Church for Her faithful from any vaccination for religious reasons."

Similarly, the news agency reported that the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York have also said that they are not in support of exemption letters, according to the AP.

But not all churches share the same view. The AP said that some Catholic bishops, including those at The Colorado Catholic Conference, have made it easier to object to the vaccine on religious grounds by posting online templates for a letter that priests can sign.

One pastor in Tulsa has even said that he will sign a religious exemption letter if people donate to his church, The Washington Post reported.

According to a senior fellow for religious freedom at the Freedom Forum in Washington, religious exemptions are likely to be at the center of fierce legal battles in the coming months.

"As vaccine mandates continue to expand in schools and workplaces, there is bound to be more litigation on the issue of religious exemptions - especially in cases where no exemptions (except medical) are allowed," said Charles Haynes in an email to The Washington Post.

Meanwhile in Romania.

Thanks, and it is confirmed by the Romanian vaccination figures < https://covidvax.live/location/rou > see the snapshot:

At the current rate of vaccination it would take till 2026 before Romania would reach the 70% vax-goal.  So the Romanian government decision to close down all vaxx-centers is logical as it is obvious that the population does not want it (in spite of all coercion).

Most probably the Romanian population that suffered heavily under the Ceausescu regime, and overthrew him now 30 years ago, did not forget the tricks that were played on them during that dark period and are more weary about standing up for their freedoms than the rest of the 'Free World'.

Viva Romania!
