Japan is planning to donate 1.3 million AstraZeneca vaccines to several Asian countries, including 300,000 doses to Thailand. The newest donation from Japan should go out as soon as possible and includes 400,000 doses for Vietnam, 300,000 for Thailand, and 100,00 doses for Brunei. With 500,000 doses heading to Taiwan, Japan’s total donation to the island will be just shy of 4 million doses, says Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi. What has Thailand done to seek license to produce Astra Zeneca in Thailand? Itwould at least be part of the solution. Good on Japan for making a donation! But the old saying "Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Teach a man how to fish...you feed him for a lifetime. I am only disappointed in my own country for not donating Astra Zeneca. We are swimming in it here.!!! Just not enough Pfizer. I wonder if Thailand ould do swap deals with other countries. It works by countries giving their surplus vaccines to be "Paid back" when the receiving country gets the orders they placed.

Japan has produced 23,000,000 AZ doses and is giving them away.

How many doses has Siam Bioscience delivered in the same time frame?

Isn't it ironic that a "producing" country, like Thailand, needs the donations of the very vaccines they produce on their own shores.

Nah Japan is just giving AZ away to countries they don't like so much perhaps. They are like Germans, not much sense of humour but sometimes they come out with some crackers

Perhaps Thailand can sell it as extra export AZ?
