This could just be a preview of Prayut not giving up the Emergency Decree, for all the hot air we've heard over the last few days.

Even without it, the measures they are now talking about; fully vaccinated to even enter a mall or restaurant will make things not much different than they are now.

They'll be unlikely to lift the congregation or alcohol ban, so what will the difference be if they do away with the old rules, just to give us new rules that look like the old rules?

I was initially thinking of visiting in February of next year. Now I am thinking of not considering a trip until June of next year.

Depends on what you are planning to do here. Once the rules ease, you'd be fine for a hiking or beach holiday. Probably no better time then now with peace and quiet. If you're hoping to meet people to socialise, have a nice drink and join the evening/nightlife that you know from before, you may well want to postpone longer. I'm convinced that's not going to return for years.

"Could" should be changed with 'Will"

I continue to regard it as criminal if they ease the rules with low numbers of protection by vaccination, as easing is always and everywhere followed by "going nuts to the max".

Not to be disparaging, but the normal Joe in the street hasn't got even a hint of a clue about what we discuss here in detail and just (mostly) follows the rules.

Part of the government's job is to protect its people. They need to vaccinate. Nothing else until that is completed to a high degree.

The CCSA has not said what INFECTIONS ….. massage with happy ending may not be happy for some.

I admire your optimism.  I've just cancelled December 2021, February 2022 looks doubtful, July for CM and Samui looks like a maybe. I'm growing tired of having to talk to my daughter on Skype or Line. Good luck.

The 'Happy Endings' are predominantly for the ex pats, zimmer frames, grey hair or balding with no regular partner. A little stereotypical but in the main, accurate. For those feeling it has hit a raw nerve, don't get paranoid. It's the primate mentality in most of male humans.

Really sorry to say this.

With the lack of good quality vaccines and the total inability to manage an effective vaccination program late 2022 early 2023 might be a decent bet. 

Just my opinion of course.
