Doctors at a southern Thai hospital in Nakhon Si Thammarat operated on a teenager to remove a cyst from her ovary. Its a shame that superstition and other BS often clouds or even hinders getting a health problem fixed. This lady had an ovarian cyst which is not uncommon yet some nutters decided it must be black magic. Luckily she got help before burying the hoof of a pig in the ground or paying 500 baht to a village elder to say some mumbo jumbo  had a worse outcome for her.

Of course black magic will still be blamed, especially when they start talking about "hair, teeth and bone" in the cyst.

A year ago we had people in the US drinking bleach. This year they are taking horse dewormer. If this continues, I imagine we will eventually have people inhaling fumes from chemical fires as treatment.

bet that the government love it when people blame karma, ghosts and black magic for things in Thailand, world class schooling it has not got, that's all part of the plan though
