Either that or they discovered that some members ofApple development teams had some weirdos amongst them with their own libaries of child porn that would prove embarrasing if it become known.

You raised a good point. I wonder how much material would be discovered stored on Apple or Google cloud accounts. Which then raises the question as to whether cloud storage providers would be complicit.

Good question and possibly one they would not wish to answer as morals are not really their game, just money making

Has anyone seen iHuman? Documentary about how privacy basically doesn't exist anymore. I wasn't so impressed with how it's portrayed with lots of music and digital "art" but the examples they show are very illustrative. There's much more going on than we think and especially authoritarian regimes happily use it to its full extent.
