The president of the Thai Spa Association says he’s hopeful things will improve in the last quarter of the year, if the country re-opens and domestic tourism picks up. Krod Rojanastien says the industry has suffered badly under Covid-19 restrictions, with most of the 8,000 registered facilities closed and 70% – 80% of staff out of work. And, while restrictions have been eased in the 29 dark red provinces, spa businesses can currently only offer foot massages. I think it is not just the president of the Thai Spa Association but many people in Thailand also are hopefull that during 4Q of this year it will bring many happy endings

But maybe the Thaiger should do a follow up article to

which was posted/printed on 4th May. By my count (fingers and toes using binary method) 50% of Thai hotels now sunk. As with no place to stay, people won’t travel, get sore in car, plane, trains and automobiles and require a massage or two to feel great again.

How delusional? I am getting really bored already with these repeated articles about Thai people getting hopes up for the “next quarter”. I hope it’s some made up propaganda, otherwise it would mean some serious naivety and stupidity.
