Thaiger Posted September 1, 2021 #48797 Share Posted September 1, 2021 From today, as the restrictions ease in dark red zones…. parks, sports stadiums, department stores, and other venues, will reopen. With restrictions easing in “dark red” zones from today, the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare has declared that employees can go back to work. The Thai PM Prayut Chan-o-cha has spent the first day of a four day no-confidence debate fending off allegations of embezzling funds and paying off politicians in return for political support and favours. AlexPTY Posted September 8, 2021 #53922 Share Posted September 8, 2021 i looked from my window last night, it was 9:30pm and traffic on the road was quite heavy. Reading about curfew in Bangkok, i thought it actually says "don't go out unless it's necessary" Maybe it's not correct or wrong translation, i cannot find now what it exactly says in Thai Link to comment https://talk.thethaiger.com/topic/4529-news-forum-good-morning-thailand-restrictions-ease-but-the-red-zone-curfew-remains-hua-hin-%E2%80%98sandbox%E2%80%99/#findComment-53922 Share on other sites

I thought it might be because we're further North and the vaccine works quicker here Or because the C comes before the S in the alphabet But hey, CM is getting 29.000 doses of vaccine for the 1.2m people here, so all will be dandy! 1 Link to comment https://talk.thethaiger.com/topic/4529-news-forum-good-morning-thailand-restrictions-ease-but-the-red-zone-curfew-remains-hua-hin-%E2%80%98sandbox%E2%80%99/#findComment-55955 Share on other sites
Griff1315 Posted September 10, 2021 #55958 Share Posted September 10, 2021 Bangkok to reopen for foreign tourists October 1st absolutely ludicrous. If BKk can reopen why not just throw all restrictions in the bin and let the virus fly. Not that anyone is coming. WaccineChinawatiiRaporn Posted September 11, 2021 #56857 Share Posted September 11, 2021 Ok here's some info I got from TAT (LINE ID: @tatcontactcenter). They are quick to respond and answer questions I found out today. TOPIC: travel restrictions FROM BANGKOK to the below provinces Surat Thani/Ko Samui Songhkla Krabi Chiang Mai Phuket Pattaya/Chon Buri Hua Hin ANSWER: Without vaccination certificate, you cannot travel to the above mentioned provinces. You need to undergo a 14-day quarantine when arriving in their areas. For Phuket, you will be refused entry if you cannot provide the vaccination certificate. Most of the provinces requires travelers to report their arrival to local authorities or local health volunteers and to quarantine at home or their accommodation, not at an ASQ hotel. For Hua Hin, unvaccinated travelers are required to go into a 14-day home/hotel quarantine. For Chiang Mai, travelers may quarantine at designated hotel or at provided state quarantine facilities. For Surat Thani, travelers are required to provide a vaccination certificate "or" a COVID-19 test result done by an RT-PCR method, and issue no longer than 72 hours. The information is in accordance with the provincial order as of 4 August 2021. Please keep checking for possible updated measures. Currently, there's no quarantine requirement for travelers to Chonburi. Now, we are checking for more the measures announced for Krabi and Rayong. For Koh Samui, you must have been vaccinated. If you will receive a Moderna vaccine, you must have received one shot of the vaccine for no less than 21 days before traveling to Koh Samui. To enter Phuket, you must have received 1 jab of the Moderna vaccine for no less than 14 days and you must provide a fully-paid hotel booking/package tour booking to the officer at checkpoint. Some airlines may require such documents when checking in. We would like to add that you will also need to provide the COVID-19 test result issued no longer than 72 hours before arriving in Phuket. For Krabi, you will need to be fully vaccinated with 2 shots of COVID-19 vaccine or only 1 shot if it is an AstraZenaca. You must have been vaccinated for at least 14 days before entering Krabi and you must provide the COVID-19 test result done by RT-PCR method or rapid antigen test, issued no loner than 7 days. A letter certifying that you have essential purpose for travel is also required. Please check for updated measures before traveling to any destination and always check with airlines if they require their passengers to provide additional documents when checking in.
