A freight train that was bombed and experienced gunfire over the weekend is back up and running. The train is in service on the Bangkok to Sungai Kolok route, or from central Thailand to southern Thailand. The 985 train arrived safely today at the Hat Yai railway junction in Songkhla at 7:30am. The train departed for Sungai Kolok 28 minutes later. On the train were railway police and defence volunteers to provide security for the train and the goods on board.
