A man has been arrested and an undisclosed amount of allegedly, illegally obtained timbers logs have been seized at a temple in the western Thai province of Kanchanaburi, yesterday. Sawit Jiamjiraporn, the Sai Yok district chief, took a team of administrative officials and defence volunteers to inspect the Nong Pla Duk forest temple. The officials had received reports that the temple was being used as a home base for forest encroachment activities and the processing of illegally obtained wood.
