I know about rivers, so this is a doddle for me; champion fisherman.

But, I must question the most 'famous Thai river' bit. IMO, the most famous Thai river is the'River Kwai', made famous, of course, by Jeremy Clarkson and his Top Gear crew.

I stand corrected… forgot about that one. Probably the most famous bridge too

If I'm not wrong, there was a giant sting ray caught in the river some years ago. It held the world record for the biggest freshwater fish for a while.

That record was beaten by a sturgeon caught in Russia, Then another big fish, this time a mekong cat fish, took the title. I think Cambodia.

About 8 years ago the title returned back to Thailand with another ray. This one caught near Nong Khai in the big river. 325 kg I believe.

I'll look all that up.
