Clearly those 60 day tourist exemption stamps still do not allow enough time for those Thai work permit applications to be approved. Therefore I must conclude, changing back to a 30 day exemption stamp isn't going to solve any of the perceived 60 day exemption stamp problems?

And your point is? The Thai's don't care and I don't blame them.  The last thing they need, for example, are more totally useless, unqualified supposed English teachers.

There's an average of 15 of them every night on Soi Diana in Pattaya very friendly girls I haven't indulged personally but a friend of mine told me the price is very negotiable they provide a good service and they don't go through your pockets when you're sleeping.
