It's the accepted terminology in Pattaya (and presumably all Thai Red Light Districts) for the hookers not attached to a bar, yes. Cheaper, and riskier.

Women expats on Digital Nomad visas should therefore avoid introducing themselves as freelancers in order to avoid any confusion regarding the nature of their activity (the above-mentioned being restricted to Thais ).
