And overstaying is exactly that... my point

Not my point - your incorrect point.  Bad behaviours as seen in public by Thais - not failures to do their paperwork. I have never heard of an ordinary Thai complaining that Expats dont do their paperwork - they complain about how some Expats behave.

So you never break any Thai rules or laws? What a hero to us inferior flawed people. Lodged that tax return yet? Do you get a tax clearance certificate before leaving the country? Report to Immigration whenever staying outside the Province for more than 24 hours? I could go on and on about all the ridiculous rules and laws in this country - most of which are ignored by both Thais and Expats with any sense.

That tirade is not worth a reply

Have a beer and take a pill mate - calm down - he has not been abusing children or selling heroin mate or raping women or killing people or running scam call centres, etc etc etc.

That stupid comment also doesn't deserve a reply.

So it is not bad behavior unless a Thai individual complains... WHAT?

What that means is you have no response worthy of providing - just like a woke liberal to start walking away when losing an argument.

Bad Behaviour as described by me - means being seen by Thais (and other Expats) doing things that in Thailand are socially and culturally wrong - like wearing a short dress into a Wat, or not wearing a shirt in a Wat, or refusing to take off shoes, etc etc etc.   Someone who has not done their paperwork is not bad behaviour - how does anyone know that the Expat they are seeing has not filled in his TM30.

A little game to smooth the mood of this thread as usual in this forum those days, full of agressevity and rudeness...

Look at the picture in the article, the british guy and three immigration officers next to him. The game is: spot how many of these four are abiding by the laws? My guess: none.

Cannot argue with that Manu.  It is very clear that Thais do not comply with the official laws and rules, far more than do the Expats. I still remember when first driving a car here, that there was 3 lanes of traffic but only 2 marked lanes - and in one day I saw more 'breaches' of the road rules than in 10 years back in Australia - but it all worked out just fine.

Well I wasn't aware that you were limiting the definition and consequences of "bad behavior"... I always got the impression that you had an open mind... Bad Behavior: Causes, Consequences, and Improvement Strategies

You talked about overstaying being a bad behaviour - on the back of another Member's comments and my replies. Thais see many bad behaviours in Foreigners and it is highlighted on social media in particular> But they do not SEE if a Foreigner has not done his paperwork. They SEE bad behaviours and that is what causes them to have a negative opinion towards some Foreigners.  If you think Thais whinge on social media about how many Foreigners have not done a 90 Day Report or their Annual Application - show me.  Meanwhile take a look and you will see thousands of posts by Thais about Foreigners BAHAVING BADLY.
