23 people in the Northern Thai province of Nan have contracted Covid after an asymptomatic Covid patient returned to his home without quarantining or notifying authorities. Over 300 people are now at risk due to the man’s oversight. Nan provincial health chief, Dr Warinthep Chuasamran says that among the 23 people who contracted Covid, about half are young children, including a 4 month old baby. Unbelievable how selfish these people are, never a thought to others or even their own elderly family members. I hope nobody should die from Covid because of this idiots actions or if they do he can live with knowing what he's done.

Meanwhile how many folks in Nan have been fully vaccinated? Why isn't scaling up coverage and walk in access to vaccination being prioritised?

Of the last few months, we've heard more instances where said infectious individuals returning to their provincial homes - the great exodus from BKK Metro - are reluctant, indifferent and ignorant regarding isolation practices. Hence, the unnecessary spread where it wasn't a great issue before.
