You think that's bad, my team have Liverpool, still at least the crowd should see a good few entertaining goals. Guess though they won't be for Norwich on current form but you never know, 3 own goals by Liverpool will be nice 😂

Ridiculous vanity competition by the organizer, he would be better off spending the millions in Thailand

Carabao are just the sponsors , the competition is organised by the football league .

It gives the top teams a chance to field squad members and  for smaller teams to play against bigger clubs and an opportunity for smaller clubs a better chance to win some silver wear

Yes he pays for it all, it's just a vanity project nobody is really interested in but cost tens of millions that could be better spent in Thailand. It does what the FA cup does so why duplicate it?

Well not quite the same as the FA cup covers all leagues whilst the League cup is only for the Premier League plus the 3 other EFL leagues. But you are right, what is the purpose of it when all the same clubs are still eligible for entry in the FA cup competiiton.

No ,Carabao pay sponsorship  money to advertise their product , sales of Carabao have risen in the U.K since they began advertising and sponsoring the Competition and so they extended their sponsorship by another two years .

The League /Carabao cup has been going since 1960 , 61 years ago and Caraboa have been sponsoring the competition for the last three years .

The F.A cup is for all football teams , the League cup is just for League teams .

And at the end of the day, only teams in the top and sometimes second tier ever get anywhere. Waste of time & money, unless you are a supporter of a non-League team who just happen to be drawn in the FA cup against an EPL team early on and get a crowd of 5000 at your ground which normally attracts 500.

Non league teams cannot enter the League/Caraboa cup .

It gives the opportunity for the top teams to play members of the squad who dont usually get a game and it gives lower league teams  a chance to play against top teams .

Gives lower leagues teams and players an opportunity to play at Premiership grounds

So you are saying it is just for the players' benefit.

I don't think Pep will field his under 18s team against a very happy Wickham Wanderers, who have travelled half the country to be at the Etihad.

Do you think that Pep will play his full first team or will be include some fringe players ?
