News Forum - Bangkok Sandbox: open businesses to vaccinated customers

Recommended Posts

Perhaps feeling a bit jealous of more easily isolated tropical islands with their Sandboxes, who are reopening despite their own rising Covid-19 infections, the private sector has proposed its own reopening in the capital they are calling the Bangkok Sandbox. A “Factory Sandbox” has already been put into use in the industrial sector that maintains safety and confidence in the export trade by isolating infected industrial workers and vaccinating them. The president of the Thai Chamber of Commerce said they have concocted a scheme to start reopening businesses in Bangkok safely by limiting their customers to only those people who […]

It is feasible in Singapore because about 80% of the population has been vaccinated and there are thousands of  safe management ambassadors who go around checking and monitoring.

With the low vaccination rate in Thailand and the ‘mai pen rai’ way of doing things, I am not so sure if this would only open up a can of worms.  Just my opinion.

If they are going to create a digital vaccine passport, it needs to conform to those already being created and used like in the EU.  It shouldn't be some one-off thing that only works in Amazing Thailand.

The Sandbox is a misnomer, call it what it is, only vaccinated people can enjoy indoor dining and recreation.  That's what other countries call it.

When pigs fly, Bangkok will open up "safely" when vaccination is so damn low. When words by the authorities are not taken responsibly, how can actions? Israel, UK and Singapore's model are still being tested and monitored as we speak.

Just a small problem, only 8% of the country, their intended customers are vaccinated

Nobody, incl. the government, looks at the facts, so why should business be any different? 😂

-Vaccinated people can carry and transmit the virus, so not only the customers, but also those business employees should be vaccinated

-We have restriction, amongst others to limit movement, to restrict the spread of the virus

With sandboxes and other "ideas" they increase the risk for no significant result, and raise the numbers of the sick and dead.

Get the vaccinations done quicker for all. Then reopening is at least relatively safe.

Am I reading correctly here that they are vaccinating those that are already infected ???

I can see why businesses want to take things into their own hands.

They are not being consulted and there is more health and economic damage being done by lockdowns than by the disease.

Enough is enough.

And the vaccines don't work. Vaccinated people can still catch the virus and transmit it to others. I think the vaccinated people should be quarantined indefinitely to prevent them from spreading the virus, and let everyone else go free.

And just like Oliver Twist, the People on Phuket - Please sir I want some more!

https://www.thephuketnews.com/phuket-requests-470-000-vaccine-doses-as-booster-shots-81178.php

Now they want boosters before the rest of the country even has one. The Sandbox has had its chance, now time for Hua Hin and Chiang Mai to get 70% vaccinated for their openings. With the 180 cases today in Phuket, they will need another hospitel to keep on top of the curve.

Soon, how many vaccines to be vaccinated? You may just feel like a pin cushion to eat out.

You wrote > -Vaccinated people can carry and transmit the virus, so not only the customers, but also those business employees should be vaccinated.

> Where is the logic in insisting on vaccination, when - as you correctly wrote - vaccinated people can carry and transmit the virus ???

These covid-vaccines are not sterilizing, and the only thing they do is reduce the severity when you catch covid-19 by getting infected from a vaxxed/unvaxxed person.

The consequences of this are exactly the opposite of the common approach > Non-vaccinated people will self-isolate when experiencing first symptoms.  But by suppressing the symptoms vaccination actually makes the vaccinated ones unwitting super-spreaders

I am surely NOT advocating to do this.  But when they are so afraid of getting infected, it would make far more sense to:

#1 - not allow access to people with symptoms, and

#2 - not allow access to vaccinated people, because when infected they will because of the suppresion of their symptoms, unknowingly spread the virus.

They DO work, nobody ever claimed they stop you getting the virus 100%, they are designed to keep you out of hospital and from dying. Many anti vaxers wished they had been vaccinated- on their death beds!

Where were you in 1942? I am sure that you saying "enough is enough" would have ended WW2 3 years early as well.

A problem doesn't end because it's been enough. It ends when it's been resolved.

I don't recall the CDC or any government saying that the vaccines wouldn't stop people from getting or transmitting the virus until AFTER they got emergency approval from the FDA. All they did before that was whip people up into such a state of fear that they would have accepted anything as a solution.

The vaccine is an oxymoron.

As you say, how can something be called a vaccine when it does not prevent transmission or reinfection.

Now they are changing the narrative to say...."we never said that...vaccine only reduce symptoms".

This is a lie.

The expectation for the vaccine and the justification for the economic carnage caused by the lockdowns was that the vaccine would stop the spread. like small pox, measles and chicken pox vaccines.

We have to keep pointing out this double speak, even if it gets repetitive, for nothing is as repetitive as the fear porn being peddled by the MSM for the last two years,

Politicians and Media leaders need to be held to account

When enough is enough, the resolution can begin, for people then realize that they have been manipulated and deceived
