Fair point, one can show anything on video. This footage was taken in the 5th and 6th arrondissements of Paris, one of the most touristic areas in the world which is, for all intents and purposes, a Potemkin village.

Of course, the only way to assess the real Moscow is to go there oneself (something I would love to do).

I was there in December 2023 in the evening, very dangerous and scary place. I was the only white guy in the inner-city express train…

If this is a reference to my mentioning being the only white guy in a train in Paris, yes indeed that is something I perceived as highly troubling and abnormal, especially given the demeanours of my travelling companions during that bleak 20-minute episode, in a relentless cacophony of African and Middle-Eastern-sounding dialects.

If you meant something else, then you will have to be more specific.

I actually see many Russian couples wheeling their kids up and down Soi 6 Pattaya (poor man's Disney World) the excitement on the kids faces when they see the Soi 6 girls in their novelty uniforms.

That's something I have always intermittently observed in certain foreign couples/families of all nationalities, the awkward fascination with Pattaya. I always wondered why on earth they would go there, but something is obviously drawing them to it.
