What in all that's holy has hair style got to do with learning?  Get the teachers and the syllabus sorted first, before worrying about students hair. Kids  seem to spend more time dressing in different uniforms, messing around in silly school activities than they do in a classroom, learning anything useful to their future. I don't get that Thailand is surrounded by other Countries that do education so well, and they do it so badly in comparison. And it starts and stops with the quality of the teachers.

Why do soldiers all have the same haircut? Thailand suffers from military overreach so it flows through society. Looks at the school heads - dressed like the military.

They don't.  In the militaries of Holland, Sweden, Denmark, Canada and Japan, men can have any length hair they like. As they do in all other NATO Forces, including the US, Germany and the UK,  in certain units. They all also allow facial hair.  Do get your facts right before you hit the keyboard.

An uneducated proletariat is a compliant proletariat. Can’t have the younger generations getting fancy thoughts. Look what happened last time, when Pita and his mates mounted a challenge to the existing order. Granted he was educated in NZ and the U.S. But we can’t have these pesky types sticking their nose in. And we certainly can’t complement the idea by constructing a robust education system at home.

See... we do agree on something... this is where failures come to teach... they are more for the entertainment value than the scholarship value.
