Likely, but certainly not guaranteed, that the driver was speeding through the lights and they were red by the time he arrived. 4.30am in the morning and not a delivery driver - very suspicious. Apparently no witnesses so if that did happen he will probably get away with it. But she may have just gone though a red light on a highway intersection - unlikely IMO. Pity no camera there.

Unfortunately, as with all road rules in Thailand, some people treat them as a mere suggestion that can be obeyed or ignored at the road users discretion.

Until there is strict enforcement of the rules in place we will continue to see these types of incidents. I call it an incident rather than an accident because it seems that one of the people involved made a conscious decision to go through a red light and that was not by accident.
