Asking clarification on obtaining a residence certificate (I want to buy a motorbike).

My understanding is that I need the residence certificate to register the bike once purchased (and maybe actually buy it).

I assume my TM30 need to be filed, and I may need a paper copy to bring with me.  I recall the TM30 may have a timeframe on it (e.g., days in hotel).    If so, I assume I need to bring in the TM30 on the day[s] that's listed on it.... that is, if I go in after the TM30 end date, it may not be accepted?  (I just may be changing lodging and not yet checked into the next hotel, etc.).

I do have a 1-year extension on my Non Imm O Visa (expires Jan 21 but I'll be in Thailand before that) so I did have a TM30 when I got my extension (though my gf may have put an end date that has passed... so not sure that matters).       So maybe I can easily get the residence certificate without a new TM30?

Thanks.

TM30 a must.
Even then your IO may not issue a residence certificate unless it's for a residential address.

What address would you like in the motorcycle logbook, an Airbnb?

Thanks... an AirBnb could be a residence too:)

And I wonder if I need a minimum length of time showing a stay on the TM30 (is 2 weeks ok or would they look for more) or maybe it varies by IO?  (I may be moving and settling elseware.)

I have had the same TM30 for 8 years?
