The usual one sided report, no mention of how many protesters hurt, probably the Police attacking them first then a response back.

Yes of course, the police waited and ambushed them - at the police station.

It's time that the dictator step down. Thailand is becoming a communist country

It's anything but Communist.

More akin to what is practiced the world over - along the lines of a hybrid Oligarchy/Plutocracy/Corporatism.

Same same, but different.

Sure. Throw the bugger out. And then what? Just be replaced with the same old institutional cronyism. Repeated over and again through endless cycles.

It's not the players that require to be removed, but the stage/theatre that needs substantial cleansing.

waiting for UN support any day now, maybe UN will bring some troops to help them... what a bunch of hooligans

Yet, isn't the U.N., and it's principle controllers, nothing short of a hooligan outfit themselves?

Certainly shouldn't be looked upon as benign and benevolent.

You even don't know that with the UN was Thalufa and the clashes they call them Thalugaz (ding daeng) this are totally different groups. This say enough about what you know about, but think you have the view to know whats going on and is a hooligan. Enough said and showed your mindset.

The best way to handle the problem of rising social discontent are new unbiased and fair elections .

But that is of no interest to the elite in power .

That indicates that armed suppression will be the most likely answer to protests . Until the level of the social discontent reaches a point where they cannot suppress it any more .

Spot on there but over the years just when it seems  that that point has been reached, it seems to evaporate. What perhaps is needed is someone who can truly unite the disadvantaged millions in this country. Quite how that can be done when traditionally everyone with that ambition considers that they only need to "buy" the poor I'm not sure.
