4/5…

I have tried them all (all pretty good) except for the tadpole one, which I had never heard of.

My father-in-law, from Ubon, catches frogs when it rains and makes a good tom yam with them, I would say the taste is somewhere between chicken and fish.

One day, my wife was cooking soup and she went and plucked a big leaf from a tree, which was crawling with ants. She then went and shook it over the pot and in they fell. It gives it an interesting, acidulous taste.

Those big red ants up here are called 'lemon ants'. The wife eats them raw.

Yeah, those are the ones.

Never mess with a woman who eats insects.

A few years ago, my sister, who squeals and jumps at the mere sight of a creepy crawly, asked me during a family gathering if my wife shared that phobia. The look on people's faces when I said she fries them in a wok and has them for breakfast 😁
