The British Embassy has been informed that British nationals over the age of 18 have the opportunity to receive an AstraZeneca covid-19 vaccination at Piyavate Hospital in Bangkok between 25 and 29 August. Second vaccination 12 weeks later.

Registration, on a first come first served basis, is through the following google docs form, https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe3h7dn4nVDNdNDD6ObyPYx6-H0mvE-nJ-RQjFigRrTNRUiqg/viewform?usp=sf_link. Registration closes on Sunday 22 August. Cost is THB 50. Numbers of vaccines are limited, so register now.

I am very dubious about this post.  There are a lot of personal details sought from an unknown google docs website, that is sponsored by the Kingdom of Belgium??  I looked on the British Embassy site and there is no mention of this initiative.  Perhaps I am wrong - but I am naturally skeptical about giving out very personal information to a blank google docs site that is not part of the Embassy website.

It's legit -as far as I can tell; at least technically it checks out.

The email came from the gov.uk.  Mail headers etc look good.  It's also addressed correctly to me, and my name is spelt correctly (which is usually not the case!).

Has a DKIM signature from the mail which passes, and says its from notifications.service.gov.uk
That can't be faked, not without a lot of work...

Lastly - it's something I have specifically signed up to receive from the consulate.

If you're a UK Citizen, you can signup to receive these emails at this address: Bangkok.DocumentaryServices@fcdo.gov.uk

So far, its been a once a week notification from them.

Thanks @shanghailoz good to get confirmed.  I should have realised - the email header is from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office in UK - not from the UK Embassy in Bangkok.  Seems the UK Embassy is the same as the Aust Embassy - as useless as sheite on a shovel, and wouldn't work in an iron lung.

I've been getting regular email from them regarding Covid vaccines.
You can sign up for them voluntarily, and the email is listed on their website.

If you visit this website:

https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/thailand/coronavirus

They have a section about getting updates.  I signed up via the email address (also posted above).

I typically receive one email a week from them with covid info.

The details posted in the first post are from their weekly email, and like I said, the headers do match and validate.

It is possible that they have sent out an iffy signup sheet link, so caveat emptor and all that.
The mail headers are good, but the content could still be bad, especially if its government sent!

Call the hospital and check directly is probably the best suggestion here.

The mail replyto: address did have one typo though Bangkoknoratialbookings@fco.gov.uk (I think thats likely to be  Bangkoknotorialbookings@fco.gov.uk ), but I suspect that actually makes it more valid as coming from government.  The rest all checks out 100% though.

COVID-19 vaccines if you live in Thailand

Wherever possible British nationals should aim to be vaccinated in the country where they live. As further information is available about the national vaccination programme, this page will be updated. Sign up to get email notifications. You can also receive the Embassy’s regular updates about the vaccination programme by sending a message to Bangkok.DocumentaryServices@fcdo.gov.uk.

The Thailand national vaccination programme started in June 2021. The Ministry of Public Health has confirmed that all residents of Thailand, including foreigners, can register for a vaccine at any hospital that holds your health records, if you choose to join the programme. Registration online and at hospitals that do not hold your records may also be possible. Short and longer-term visitors may not be eligible under this scheme.

In many areas there are limited supplies of vaccines and registration and vaccination programmes have been temporarily suspended. You should check the current situation with local authorities and the Thai government’s Facebook page and PR website.

Well for perspective it’s reported that people who want to evacuate from Afghanistan are using Google forms too

Pretty common - almost all the hospital signups I've seen have been over google docs, including the most recent one I posted about Chiang Mai signups.
