I submit my opinion that there is no levelling off of positive cases, but that it's stuck around 20.000 because they don't do enough testing.

And as far as plans of opening up the country based on this fake levelling off is concerned: daily deaths are already 3-4 times the total number of deaths in the first 14 months! 

Daily deaths are a 25-30% increase on the pre-pandemic "normal" daily death rate.

What do they want? A race to 500+ a day? 

Is that worth the relatively small income from very few tourists for the benefit of a small group of businesses? 

I say stop didgering with contracts. Sign up for more vaccines. Get them in arms a.s.a.p. and THEN open up the country.

If this is what you tell people openly and honestly, then they can plan and know what to expect instead of these ever changing plans.

The virus doesn't care about high season or Songkran. The only thing that can now influence the situation is vaccination.

So make plans for 2-3 weeks after 75% of the population has received two jabs and stop the verbal diarrhea.

All the nonsense sandboxes, waste of money and resources.. what they expecting people to come with 20000 infected daily.. that is 140000 people infected weekly.. and i am sure it is a lot more... but they keep it like this because they said it will go down around this week.. government not trustworthy ever.. no trust in them and certainly do not listen to them as they do not listen to the people ever...

Only 0.5 % dies of covid and the CPR tests are not 100%

But 5 out of 1000 extra deaths is a lot.

Maybe the figure doesn't mean that much to you. But if you are one of the 0.5% then I'm sure your family and friends will wish everyone had been more strict and careful.

So how many people in thailand committed suicide. Because they lost everything. And vaccinated people still get covid. The numbers will go down. Lockdowns or not
