Whilst it seems highly likely that a disregard for health and safety/maintenance was the cause of this tragedy it seems to me that the tourist bears some responsibility for not researching before taking part in a hazardous activity in Thailand as even the most basic research would have provided red flags to Thailands lack of safety standards. -
