Could be the death of the ‘cheap shop’ if these measures are enforced (which I very much doubt they will be). It’s okay to say you’re going to raise to quality of imported goods, but what happens when these goods are priced out of the market for the average consumer? You only have to look at the appaling  quality of the tools and equipment used by the average tradesman here to realise the gap between what i want and what I can afford. Unless the government is going to invest heavily in local manufacturing and apply subsidies to locally produced high end goods, the market for land fill grade products will continue.
