This is a direct result of moving mountains and filling in low lying lands... everywhere that there is flooding in Thailand it is because mountain after mountain of dirt is relocated to the plains in order to build... no consideration is given to the alteration of the natural drainage so the flood plain shifts to the older lower lying areas.
