an average of 1.3 tons of mismanaged waste is created each year of which is 0.41 tons ends up in Thailand seas ”  — maybe its more like 1.3 million tons?   We seriously needs to phase out plastic waste using biodegradable alternatives.

Its crazy how much plastic you get nowadays.  In the "good old days(tm)", it was a banana leaf for packaging or *maybe* a plastic bag for your drink.

Nowdays, the sauce is in a plastic bag, the food, then a bag to hold it, etc.  You end up with so much pointless waste.

TN can play the typical Thai officialdom blame game and say 'it was all Coconut's fault . . . don't criticise us!' Not good, though, when the error is as blatant as this one.

Outrage at overuse of plastic really doesnt solve the problem though, does it?

The problem is ineffective waste management, that needs to be solved first.

They simply do not value it... and you can not learn them that, they already try to learn people for 18 years that I am here to where a helmet on the motorbike... and they do not... no helmet but they where a mask.. does it make sense? They do not want to die of covid but yes of an accident...
