I do not disagree with the pruported reason for having gambling illegal in Thailand

Illegal gambling is perceived as a threat to family stability

In 2023 the Government Lottery Office collected 169 Billion baht.  Approximately 47. 3 billion was passed on to the government after deduction for operating the plan.

I do not know how much legalizing gambling would affect these #'s but I imclined to believe the government has no desire to find out. I sure as hell would protect it.

Are there gambling 'cruises' that dock in Thailand and then sail 12 nautical miles outside of the Thai territorial waters?

Is it dangerous to go to Cambodia to gamble?

"The investigation revealed that Kulltada used her Facebook account, under the name Baifern Kulltada, to discreetly embed links to gambling websites. This method aimed to lure the public, especially young people and those easily influenced, into online gambling. The police traced the activity back to Kulltada and gathered sufficient evidence to present her with formal charges."

She clearly knew what she was doing was illegal, how stupid is she to not realise how easy it would be for even the largely inept Royal Thai Police to catch her from a social media account?
