Thailand’s FDA is planning legal action against Pimradaporn Benjawattanapat, an online seller also known as “Pimrypie”. Pimradaporn allegedly tried to give a set of antigen test kits as a gift alongside purchases of mineral water. The FDA deputy secretary general, Dr Surachok Tangwiwat, says his office will ask the Consumer Protection Police Division to investigate Pimradaporn’s ads for mineral water that she posed on Facebook live. 'Consumer Police'  Ha ha ha! that conjures up all sorts of ideas for creative new laws:

Selling beer warmer than two degrees Celcius
Selling lipstick outside the advertised pantone colour range tolerance
Talking to customers without a conversation licence
Selling fake Rolex watches that keep good time
Advertising Chinese goods that work for more than ten minutes

I see there really is a 'Consumer Protection Police Division (CPPD)', but I have no idea what they in reality.
