there should be more information bout expats and foreign drivers invovled in accidents - I believe many foreign drivers are not mentally or physically equiped to drive on Thai roads.

If it took 50 metres for her to stop, she must have been doing at least 70 km/h. That's very fast in a Thai urban environment.

Assuming the driver didn't start to break before the collision and not taking into account the dragging of a motocrycle etc.

Indeed, that's why I said "at least". Lots of information is missing at this point, but it does seem to be an accident caused by reckless driving.
