Security situation around Mae Sot / Umphang / Mae Sariang
Dear all, I'm planning a motorcycle trip around Northern Thailand in February/March starting in Chiang Mai. Does anyone have information about the current security situation around Mae Sot (=the city itself and the way to Umphang via R1090 and the way up to Mae Sariang via R105)? Does the situation in Myanmar have any influence on the situation in the neighboring regions in Thailand that is important to know for travellers? Best, Matthias -
