News Forum - Elderly woman injured in Nonthaburi hit-and-run, taxi flees (video)
Every day another story about traffic deaths and accidents like this one on the Thailand roads. If 'you' are listening Thai Govt () the ONLY solution to this issue in Thailand is to make a scapegoat out of the next few perpetrators. That means passing severe punishment Laws that are National based. Then start with a person who does what this person did in the taxi. When caught, sentence anyone like this guy to 10 years in jail for fleeing the scene of an accident and failing to provide help to the person injured. I say him, because it has been my observation that 100% of the dangerous and/or drunk drivers in Thailand are males. The females are often useless and silly drivers, but they aint dangerous, Next - sentence the next person who kills someone on the roads while breaking the rules to life (25+ years) in jail. If they did not break any rules, but they ran away - sentence them to 10 years. SIMPLE. And enforceable. This aint the West where people can appeal against harsh Laws and sentences. The Message will get around faster than any 'education program' or TV advertisements. The Message is simple - Dont injure or kill anyone on the road while breaking the rules or you are fornicated. While I agree with red light cameras and booze buses - I do not agree with speed cameras on poles and in parked vans everywhere, like in the West. Certainly a policeman should be able to park his vehicle and use a speed gun in a known 'black spot' and chase down any dangerous driver. But automatic cameras that sends fines in the mail 1-3 weeks later to anyone 2-3km over some arbitrary limit set by woke public servants, is utterly wrong. -

News Forum - PM pledges to polish Phuket into a top-tier tourist hotspot
Humans don't live that long. Phuket is a scam ridden, criminal driven, expensive shit hole. I don't see that changing any time soon, even if they did deport all the extensive Russian criminal element, although that would be a good start. -

News Forum - Bangkok’s traffic gridlock gets a tech-tock fix
That's not the way it works here. In the West, the villages are where people live and from where they commute to work. In Thailand, the villages are important centers of local economic activity and commerce. Thats why the roads are designed as they are. It's horses for courses.
