I like Koh Chang, it is a very nice tropical leisure destination, but it is a massive leap to call it the second best tropical destination in the World.  I wouldn't even put it in the top 30, once the various Pacific and Caribbean locations are included.

I went to Koh Chang for the 1st time this year

I really liked Kai Bae

Honestly is one the better "towns" I've been to in Thailand 

 

But I found Koh Chang to be rather drab, for the most part
