What does that have to do with anything, I know some very good Chinese parents who would certainly never put their kids in harms way, are you implying all Chinese mothers are mentally disturbed like this woman?

No, but my experience suggests that ignorance, social indifference, lack of education, poor parenting skills and just plain stupidity are endemic among the Main Land population in regard to many things, including how they deal with their kids.  We even see this on an almost daily basis here in the City, among the tourists.
