42% of Americans are obese, with another 35% classified as overweight. That's almost 80% of the population. No other nation anywhere in the world has anywhere near this kind of fat problem.

A lot of fat creeps from our airplane had some kind of German/Russian accent. So yeah, nice statistics, but I don't think that Thailand is that big deal for US vacation goers 555.

Pacific Islands ahead of the US, and Gulf countries right up there with them.

This is true but most of them are either shopping at Walmart or vacationing at Disney. Thailand would be just too foreign.

Sigh.
"Most Obese Countries in the World

The USA also ranks 12th in the Wiki "List of countries by obesity rate" with data compiled from the CIA's World Fact Book (as of 2020).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_obesity_rate

The World Obesity Org ranks the USA at 14th as they have two other South Pacific nations in the 12th and 13th places.
https://data.worldobesity.org/rankings/

However their data is dated to 2016 (and taken from a Lancet article published in 2017) and the table shows data only from "Adult Males" while it appears the other tables include women and children in their stats.

An accurate depiction of Americans... 555

Well...I think this needs a little context. Since most 1st world countries are relatively homogeneous (I know, I know, western Europe has opened the flood gates to Africans & Arabs lately due to the guilt of colonialism but I do not think there is more than a 5-10% minority population in these countries yet right?) except for America we need to segment the percentages into different groups.

Obese African Americans - 46% (I thought they were oppressed??)
Obese Hispanic Americans - 47% (I thought they were oppressed too, what the....)
Obese White Americans - 38% (still very bad, come on fat cracker a** crackers)
Obese Asian Americans - 12.5% (at least someone knows McDonalds is garbage food)

https://secureservercdn.net/166.62.110.213/pg2.00d.myftpupload.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/Obesity-in-adult-populations-by-race-and-sex.png

I think the relevant stat would be the percentage of obese expats per country frequenting the bars (pre-lockdown of course) in Patong, Pattaya & Bangkok.

And why does everyone have an opinion or negative things to say about America? C...c...can....can't we all jus get along??

I had never been around so many Europeans before but I was surprised at how many had very strong opinions on American people & politics (besides the Scandinavians).

I mean I do not want to be argumentative but what the hell. I need some snaggle tooth fat little shrimp d*ck puke from Leeds or wherever telling me what America is doing wrong about as much as I need testicular cancer. Go get ya shine box!

And why would the locals here dislike foreigners so much?

-Are we over represented in crime stats?

-Do we suck money from the government?

I guess they hate us because we're fat, ha ha.

-Do they dislike farang more than Chinese or Indians?

I would be offended if I really cared what they think, but since I don't, I am not.

I do think there are some here who are heavily indoctrinated to think that Thailand is somehow superior to the world. However, we all know there is no truth in that, as there is ample proof to the contrary, and it is hard to get offended by absolute nonsense, if you have self esteem, and thick enough skin, it is water off a ducks back.

Your source clearly says "Most recent DATA 2014"

image.png.fdd82bbe6be2214f45af65f3d9496329.png

Updated 2021 usually means an edit / format to the graph.

It doesn't mean new data, otherwise it would say "date of most recent data 2021."

"The photo was posted a few days ago on Spotlight Thailand, a popular Facebook group with more than 425,000 followers, and it may seem innocuous enough.

It shows a Thai man and a woman who appear to be at home aiming slingshots playfully at the camera.

It is the enclosed caption, written in English and Thai, that has caused a flurry of concern among expatriates in Thailand. “Get out from my country if you cannot stay at home. Sh*t tourist#,” it says.
Even senior government officials have been engaging in the unseemly blame game."

"Even senior government officials have been engaging in the unseemly blame game.

In mid-March the country’s volatile health minister, Anutin Charnvirakul, a construction magnate by trade with no expertise in medical matters, lashed out at “dirty” white people.

In two posts on his official Twitter account, Anutin posited that “90 percent of Thais are wearing masks. However, none of the farang are wearing masks.”

Ha ha! You boys wash up & mask up na ja
