I like to do the same. Used to read a different John Burdett book whenever I went to Thailand. Read “Burmese Days” when I was in Myanmar and “Russka” when I was in Russia. Adds to the experience, for sure. I used to read a lot when I was younger, but not so much now as far as printed material goes. Too much screen time -

News Forum - Americans in Thailand to cast 2024 ballots outside US Embassy
Seriously Marc? Would not an event, such as a presentation outside the Embassy, be sufficient? Why do they have to do a public walk/march? Given you also dislike such things, perhaps you need to reconsider what type of people you are supporting But I can understand why they are doing it - they are desperate for as many votes as they can get. No doubt a few thousand 'extra' ballots will be mailed in??
