News Forum - Floods wreak havoc on Chiang Mai hotels occupancy rates
No mention of the thousands of citizens flooded out and devastated... just how many baht the hotels are losing... and the price gouging that is taking place... My car needed electrical service after being flooded... insurance covered the expense except for the battery... that battery is now priced at 7000baht by the repair shop... it's originally a 999baht battery at retail all over Thailand. In order to get my car released I agreed to 2000baht which is still double the price...- 1

Investigate this... all roads concerning flooding can be traced back to this and the mismanagement of the flood control system in order to fulfill a stupid promise that Bangkok would not flood... sacrifice all else is the motto... In related news, Thailand Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra assured the public that Bangkok will remain safe from flooding, noting that the current rainfall levels are significantly lower than those experienced during the devastating floods of 2011.
