Yeah like any driver here stops for pedestrian crossing! 

Well maybe some do but definitely the minority.  You gotta have eyes in the back if your head to cross roads here.

Zebra crossings in Thailand are so dangerous as they give the unwary a false sense of safety whilst car and bike drivers just ignore them. It would be safer for there NOT to be a crossing there then at least the pedestrians would watch out for traffic with a bit more diligence.

I thought zebras were from Africa? He must have escaped from the zoo. Best to keep your distance from them because unlike horses they don’t have the temperament for domestication.
