So it wasn't speed that caused the crash but the driver being unfamiliar with the road... are the BiB that gullible to believe that load of clap trap? 

Dumb arse driver, hope they hand his stupidity back to him in a bag. 

It's gonna cost a lot to fix the shop, wouldn't be too worried about the car.  It would be better to keep this idiot off the road for a long time.
