Nothing to see here - this has been the case for many years. Outside the European Economic Area you only get the increase in countries that have a reciprocal Social Security agreement with the UK, which is not many.

Zero sympathy did he do NO research before relocating 6000 miles from his home country. This is NOT a new thing.
