Good quality well maintained and regularly inspected bus tyres don't just burst! Certainly in the UK every bus is inspected by the driver who has to fill in a check sheet before the bus leaves the yard every day, tyres and emergency exits are two of the main items on that checklist. The signed checklist then has to be on the vehicle all day and can be inspected by VOSA staff at any time. RIP those poor kids and teachers killed through a lack of basic safety checks!
