As more and more of these economic disaster stories come to light and hit the media, eventually (I hope) the truth will become clear - Thailand is in serious trouble economically. What I hope the Thai Authorities realise is that their piecemeal responses are not working and never will. They need to listen to those who are speaking the truth - Thailand is copulated and must restructure its core institutions and systems of Governance.

I was listening to a YT chat with Thomas Powell the other day and it started with the question by the interviewer - Why has Africa never prospered economically (aside from when colonialism imposed their will - Sth Africa and Rhodesia/Zimbabwe).  Powell spoke the truth as he always does - it is all due to one main cause, above all others - corruption.  He explained in far better terms than a numpty like me would ever say - but essentially it rots like an apple but from the inside out - such that it all looks OK from outside - but then one day it becomes clear it is no good anymore - and the only solution is to throw the apple away and start again.
