Didn't get one. Shame on me.

On the subject of bar girls!! When I was just 16 me mum (of Irish roots) took me aside and had a serious word. She told me that where ever I traveled I must remember this one thing. Of course I did travel and those words from long ago have stayed with me.

What were they now?

a/ If the lady you like has sick buffalo in the farm; run away!

b/ If you are told you are 'hansom man'; run away! 

c/ If the lady says she appreciates Bill Haley; run away!

d/ If the lady is not wearing a vest; run away.

And mum was so right. If she don't wear a vest; don't trust her and stay well clear.

Sorry Snap,  I can't comprehend why not wearing a vest is to be so bad. 

And when you say vest are we talking something like a singlet or is it more substantial?

I'm not really sure.

A vest like me ma used to wear I guess. Not a fashion item.
