I think a ban on vaccine exports would be a very bad idea.

The ability to produce vaccines locally is an extremely valuable resource.  That production is dependent upon the relationship with Astra Zeneca who are the world's second largest drug producer.  The Thai government have already antagonised AZ mostly through the idiocy of Anutin and I think it would be unwise to do so further.

Lockdown measures aren't working because there is no lockdown.

Some places have had to close, but the vast majority of Thailand is open as usual.

A strict harsh lockdown before everyone left BKK for the provinces back in April (Songkran) and we wouldn't be seeing this madness.
