Unfortunately the father has just landed himself in a ton of trouble. 

Had he just arrived without hitting anyone with his car then he may have gotten away with giving his son in law a few quick punches to his swede (Or a knee to his nuts). 

However now it's gonna cost him big time and the SOB SIL will probably get a smack with a wet bus ticket. 

Very sad all around.
