Too much needless technology involved in cars. What is wrong with a manual door opener inside the car which over rides the electronic locking system.

All started to go downhill when starting handles were done away with.

Ahhhh the old crank handles... Not many would know what they are. 

Some cars had almighty compression and kick back was always a worry. 

My father always said don't grip the handle with thumb underneath the handle or it will break if there's kickback.  Funny how you remember these things.

When Wally Young got his first car in the 1950s, he would start the car with the starting handle. He didn't trust batteries.
