I had always thought that it was the British that invented the barbaric adulteration of tea (and coffee) with milk and sugar, but apparently it was seen in China long before it became common in England, and possibly came with the teas that were first imported from India. Ever seen how the roadside vendors brew it in India? A couple of big blocks of tea, a couple of pounds of sugar and a couple of tins of condensed milk into a big boiler of water, and let it stew it for an hour or so.

Should only become a problem if you drink a lot of this stuff (in which case diabetes might be your bigger concern). Like everything all fine in moderation and ALWAYS drink plenty of water.

The white sugar content of that stuff is so high that I would not be surprised if one a day was enough to mess with your health in the long run… but one once in a while… no worries.

Agree on the water, a lot of people don't drink enough.
