A leading Thai doctor says the public must adhere to Covid-19 restrictions as case numbers have yet to peak in the Kingdom. Dr Prasit Watanapa from the Faculty of Medicine at Siriraj Hospital took to Facebook to update the public on the latest developments in the Covid-19 crisis facing Thailand. According to a Bangkok Post report, Prasit says the daily infection rate indicates that Thailand has not yet reached the peak of this outbreak. According to the IHME Projections the bad peak will be in October the “good” peak will be at the end of this month. Unfortunately we won’t know until mid-September.

Prasit points out that while Covid-19 vaccines will protect against serious illness and death, they do not stop people from becoming infected and passing the virus on. For this reason, restrictions must remain in place for now.

“This new information has shown us that the vaccine alone won’t be enough to prevent outbreaks. Social distancing measures are still needed. Moreover, herd immunity can’t happen if there are no vaccines for children.” 

So the good doctor Prasit is joining socoipath dr Yong(ele) with another plead for vaccinating all children to reach 'herd-immunity'.  This while highly-vaxxed countries like Gibraltar, Israel and Iceland are experiencing record outbreaks again.  And it is a tad more difficult to point to the non-vaccinated ones after having vaccinated almost their entire population.

Doctors should never get involved in politics. They also admit that part of their education is about making money.

I am just waiting for the day these governments around the world will admit that the way were doing things did not work, that this virus is endemic, so they can stop trying to reach 0 COVID cases and let people work again.

I just want to say something. Thank Dr whatever the name. There seems to be a clear pattern here. Whatever these doctors claim, seems to come true. Regardless of however long a preexisting lockdown has been in effect. Regardless of the amount of population that is vaccinated. Regardless of the fact that some countries had already been infected with SARS virus. Therefore contain samples in their labs many years prior to people's knowledge. I think I am starting to understand their agenda now. This doctor says the peak will be in October. The same month that the Prime Minister is trying to open Thailand with no restrictions.  But obviously everyone thinks it will not happen. This doctor is telling us it won't happen. He won't let it happen. I understand why people don't like the thai PM but recently I am starting to change my mind about him. Not everything though.   He is trying his best to keep this virus contained. Just like every other leader of the world. He said it himself. Only way to get thru covid. Is to just go back to normal. He depended on science to give him an answer. In turn science seems to change in a daily basis to adjust for new fears. Why don't we just go back to normal. Give the vaccine only to those that are in the hospital. The vaccine is only for treatment. Just like many other vaccines. Why create a vaccine passport just for this particular disease? Why prevent people from having their freedom back? Their jobs back? Their lives back, just because they don't have a vaccine for this particular virus. I get it. Everyone is complacent already about getting the vaccine and having lockdowns. It is the same affect as giving people back their WiFi or the internet. I am in Thailand. I am tired of hearing all the sad stories about people that are suffering from not having food or money for being in lockdown for more than a year. Yet these doctors demand more restrictions. Still claiming the peak will be in October, like if it was the stock market. Are we selling human lives here? Because they sure don't have their liberty. Back in the day. I remember that if you felt sick. You would go to the doctor. Depending on the severity. You either go to a clinic. Or if it is life threatening. Go to the emergency room. Build more hospitals. Increase ICU capacity. Give the vaccine to those in hospital beds. Most importantly. Take care of your health. Doctors can only give us advice. But they are not God. They only learn by trial and error just like the rest of us. Except they have more experience because that's their field of specialty. Still. That's why we have web MD. To consult other sources. Not just trust one source.

And if you're giving people in a hospital bed the vaccine it's already too late.

Trust me. I know. Is the same as giving someone the flu shot when they already have the flu. But you misunderstood the point too. Everyone is so busy on prevention and protection. That they choose to not look at treatments or cures. Back in 2020 when COVID 19 went viral on social media. Many stores locked up fever, cough and flu medicine. They took away your treatments for your symptoms because they wanted to know if you are infected yet.

I can’t disagree with that. I don’t know what was happening regarding restrictions in June in Israel? The same thing is happening in the U.K.  New case numbers have risen and more people in hospital. However, that’s because lockdown has been lifted and other restrictions have ended. More people are returning to normal life. In a population with many millions still unvaccinated, it doesn’t surprise me numbers are increasing. However, the vaccines significantly reduce the ratio of case numbers to hospitalisations and deaths. So I’m my mind, that makes them extremely worthwhile. We will most likely all get Covid at some point in the coming years. The question is how severe are our symptoms and will we die?

You have to understand the Thai defintion.  "Prominant" is defined as somebody who has a loud voice  can be heard in a crowd and possibly is able to spell his or her name.  "Expert" is somebody who may or may not have an internationaly recognised doctorate in the subject matter but will most certainly think they know better than anybody else. "Renowned" is somebody, usually paid by the goverment, or otherwise given other benefits, to promote the goverment's spin on that particular subject, fact or othertwise.

Israel: "The Health Ministry recorded 5,755 new cases on Wednesday, the highest daily figure since February, and serious cases have grown from 19 in mid-June to 400. Earlier this month Israel starting giving third vaccine doses to immunosuppressed individuals and citizens over the age of 60."

That third dose could be where this could go all to hell for those recipients. Already a big jump in side effects between one and two dose takers. Society overreacting to a pandemic virus causing a catastrophe.
